Years ago I was raising kids and looking for a part-time job when I saw an ad for a graphic design position at the Cynthiana Democrat, my hometown newspaper. I had no design experience whatsoever, but I thought the job sounded fun - and more importantly, it would give me the opportunity to get my hands on Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, which I'd never used but knew by reputation.  I got the job and was off to the races. I am self-taught in all areas of graphic design, and since taking that part-time job (which quickly became full-time), I've gained proficiency with Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Acrobat Pro.

I left the newspaper a couple of years ago, and I'm eager to partner with members of the small business communities in the Cynthiana, Georgetown and Carlisle area,  help them in building their brand and their business.  My early focus has been print work, but I've recently added Wix web design to my services, because I think they are a great solution for many small businesses.

 

In my spare time I also enjoy designing and hand-lettering with Procreate, and I have an Etsy shop where I sell some of those projects.
